Primary School No 13 in Mielec is located in 6 Łąkowa Street. It started functioning in the beginning of school year 1990/1991. There are different departments in the building of school - a didactic segment, a canteen, a common room, a library. The school possesses different workrooms such as: integrated teaching, IT, multimedia with an interactive board, maths, historical, science and art. The teachers provide numerous after-school classes, e.g. Polish, maths, science, IT, editorial and language. The members of school choir take part in different art and school celebrations. Students Inter-School Sports Club "Gepard" with sections of unihock, football, basketball and table tennis operates within school. It also provides chess activities to the youngest. The students succeed in art, sport and subject competitions. In 1999, Gymnasium No 4 in Mielec was established in the neighbouring segment of the building. In 2005, primary school and gymnasium were joined, creating the Complex of Schools No 2 in Mielec.
On 9 April 2002, our school, as the first school in Poland, was awarded with the Quality Label "Interclass" for the period of two years. The school also got its European equivalent - EUROPRIX Certificate. It means that according to the standards established by the EU, our school was recognized as the one which prepares students to functioning in an information society. On 11 June 2007, we gained the right to use the symbol for the next two years.
